Ohio High School Basketball - McClain nips Hillsboro

February 4, 2023: Greenfield, OH 45123

McClain Tigers (Greenfield, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hillsboro Indians (Hillsboro, OH), 44-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, McClain upgrades its record to 5-15 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Fairfield (Leesburg, OH) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 21-0. Fairfield won 65-29 in their recent non-league bout against St. Joseph Central (Ironton, OH)

Next up, the Indians play the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs (Lynchburg, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Hillsboro will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 67-37 non-league win over Piketon (Piketon, OH).
