Nebraska High School Basketball - Johnson County Central can't hold off Palmyra

The Johnson County Central Thunderbirds basketball team (Tecumseh, NE), was nudged 68-61 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Palmyra Panthers (Palmyra, NE)

The Panthers now possess a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pawnee City for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 9. Palmyra will battle a Indians team coming off a 65-54 non-league win over Southern (Wymore, NE). The Indians record now stands at 12-7.

The Thunderbirds (11-9) will now prepare for their battle against Elmwood-Murdock (Murdock, NE). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, Elmwood-Murdock edged Mead (Mead, NE), 61-50, in a non-league battle.
