Powder Valley Badgers (North Powder, OR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR), 49-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Powder Valley upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Badgers host Wallowa (Wallowa, OR) to clash with the Cougars in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Thursday, February 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-16. Wallowa lost 45-37 in their recent league bout against Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Imbler Panthers (Imbler, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Friday, February 10. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 59-30 league win over Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR).
