Schaeffer Academy Lions (Rochester, MN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Kingsland Knights (Spring Valley, MN), 65-61 in a league bout.

With the victory, Schaeffer Academy upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Southland (Adams, MN) to play the Rebels in a A Section 1 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 9-8. Southland lost 60-40 in their recent league bout against Lanesboro (Lanesboro, MN)

Next up, the Knights play the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals (LeRoy, MN) in a A Section 1 bout, on Monday, February 6. Kingsland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 64-58 league win over Houston (Houston, MN).
