The San Marcos Academy Bears (San Marcos, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Lee Academy of Science & Engineering Wolfpack (San Antonio, TX), 51-48 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Bears (7-6) will now prepare for their test against New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX). The Wildcats go into the TAPPS 3A District 4 test with a 17-10 record. In their last test, New Braunfels Christian Academy got by Giddings State (Giddings, TX), 78-41, in a league test.
The Wolfpack now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Sabinal for a 2A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, February 7. Lee Academy of Science & Engineering will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 38-30 league win over Stacey (San Antonio, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 17-7.
