The Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Monmouth United Red Storm (Monmouth, IL), 63-53 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Flying Geese (11-13) will now prepare for their test against Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL). The Heat go into the Lincoln Trail test with a 3-23 record. In their last test, Biggsville West Central notched a victory over Galva (Galva, IL), 58-17, in a non-league test.
The Red Storm now own a 11-15 record. They play next when they travel to Annawan for a Lincoln Trail test on Tuesday, February 7. Monmouth United will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 32-31 non-league win over Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Braves record now stands at 12-14.
