The Mt. Eden Monarchs basketball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Saint Mary's Panthers to 0 in the Monarchs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Monarchs now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Encinal for a West Alameda County - Shoreline contest on Wednesday, February 8. Mt. Eden will battle a Jets team coming off a 65-57 league win over San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo, CA). The Jets record now stands at 8-15.
The Panthers (8-17) will now prepare for their contest against St. Patrick-St. Vincent (Vallejo, CA). The Bruins come into the non-league contest with a 14-11 record. In their last contest, St. Patrick-St. Vincent was nudged by Vallejo (Vallejo, CA), 61-53, in a league contest.
