In Saturday's non-league match, the host South Greene Rebels basketball team scored a tight 61-58 triumph over the North Greene Huskies.
In their next game, the Rebels meet the Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 7. South Greene will attempt to better on its 10-9 season record. The Rangers enter the match with a 4-16 record after their 84-46 league win over Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN).
With the defeat, North Greene moves to 13-11 on the year. The Huskies travel to Hampton (Hampton, TN) to meet the Bulldogs in a 1A District 1 match on Tuesday, February 7. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 19-6. Hampton lost 65-62 in their recent non-league match against Unicoi County (Erwin, TN)
