The North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX) basketball nipped the visiting West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX), 40-36 in Saturday's league test.
The Stallions (18-12) will now prepare for their test against Spruce (Dallas, TX). The Timberwolves go into the 5A Region II District 12 test with a 15-12 record.
The Wranglers now own a 15-9 record. They play next when they host Adams for a 5A Region II District 12 test on Tuesday, February 7. West Mesquite will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 73-33 league win over Samuell (Dallas, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 16-14.
