The Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE) basketball nipped the visiting Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines (Wilber, NE), 32-26 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cougars (10-10) will now prepare for their test against Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Fillmore Central got by David City (David City, NE), 46-45, in a non-league test.

The Wolverines now own a 10-11 record. They play next when they host Sutton for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. Wilber-Clatonia will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 57-48 non-league loss to Milford (Milford, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-13.
