Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Winside Wildcats (Winside, NE) and the host Walthill Blujays (Walthill, NE), saw Winside's basketball squad hold off Walthill by a tally of 1-0.

With the victory, Winside improves its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Stanton (Stanton, NE) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 7-12. Stanton won 51-42 in their recent non-league contest against West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE)

The Blujays (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Omaha Nation (Macy, NE). The Chiefs come into the non-league contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Omaha Nation edged Whiting (Whiting, IA), 88-26, in a non-league contest.
