Texas High School Basketball - Aubrey knocked off by Van Alstyne

The Van Alstyne Panthers basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Aubrey Chaparrals to 36 in the Panthers league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 19-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ranchview for a 4A Region II District 11 contest on Monday, February 6. Van Alstyne will battle a Wolves team coming off a 61-21 league loss to Panther Creek (Frisco, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 6-24.
The Chaparrals (11-18) will now prepare for their contest against Celina (Celina, TX). The Bobcats enter the 4A Region II District 11 contest with a 7-17 record. In their last contest, Celina was defeated by Anna (Anna, TX), 62-46, in a league contest.
