The Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR) basketball crushed the visiting Cross County Thunderbirds (Cherry Valley, AR), 79-20 in Saturday's league test.

The Mustangs (14-11) will now prepare for their test against Izard County (Brockwell, AR). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 2-8 record.

The Thunderbirds now own a 2-17 record. They play next when they host Carlisle for a non-league test on Wednesday, February 8. Cross County will encounter a Bison squad coming off a 59-44 league win over Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR). The Bison record now stands at 5-7.
