The Springer Red Devils (Springer, NM) basketball nipped the host Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM), 58-52 in Saturday's league test.
The Red Devils (16-4) will now prepare for their test against Des Moines (Des Moines, NM). The Demons go into the A District 5 test with a 4-18 record. In their last test, Des Moines was tipped by Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM), 60-10, in a league test.
The Rams now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Maxwell for a A District 5 test on Tuesday, February 7. Cimarron will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 54-34 non-league loss to Corona/Vaughn (Corona, NM). The Bears record now stands at 7-15.
