The Gate City Blue Devils topped the visiting Cloudland Highlanders basketball team by a final score of 45-27 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Blue Devils face the Union Bears (Appalachia, VA) in a Mountain game, on Friday, February 10. Gate City will attempt to move on its 15-4 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 12-9 record after their 42-40 league loss to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).

With the defeat, Cloudland moves to 13-6 on the year. The Highlanders host University (Johnson City, TN) to face the Buccaneers in a 1A District 1 game on Tuesday, February 7. The Buccaneers enter the game with a record of 1-15.
