Depew Wildcats (Depew, NY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Pioneer Panthers (Yorkshire, NY), 61-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Depew upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Sweet Home (Amherst, NY) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Sweet Home won 63-61 in their recent league bout against Iroquois (Elma, NY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Cheektowaga Warriors (Cheektowaga, NY) in a Section 6 Erie County III bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Pioneer will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 48-36 league loss to Lackawanna (Lackawanna, NY).
