The Georgetown Eagles crushed the visiting Elgin Wildcats basketball squad by a margin of 66-25 in Saturday's league test.
The Eagles (18-13) will now prepare for their test against Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX). The Eagles go into the 5A Region III District 23 test with a 12-15 record. In their last test, Cedar Creek walloped Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX), 52-42, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 11-17 record. They play next when they travel to Bastrop for a 5A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, February 7. Elgin will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 40-39 league loss to Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX). The Bears record now stands at 4-24.
