In Saturday's non-league outing, the Heartland Christian Lions (Columbiana, OH) basketball squad nipped the host Valley Christian Eagles (Youngstown, OH), by a margin of 37-35.

The Lions (4-15) will now prepare for their outing against Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH). The Rams go into the non-league outing with a 11-10 record. In their last outing, Mineral Ridge got by Lowellville (Lowellville, OH), 38-34, in a league outing.
