Alaska High School Basketball - Kake can't hold off Skagway

The Skagway Panthers basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Kake Thunderbirds to 35 in the Panthers league triumph on Saturday.
In their next game, the Panthers face the Craig Panthers (Craig, AK) in a non-league match, on Sunday, February 12. Skagway will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 10-1 record after their 48-35 league win over Wrangell (Wrangell, AK).
With the defeat, Kake moves to 1-1 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Klawock (Klawock, AK) to face the Chieftains in a 1A Southeast match on Monday, February 6. The Chieftains enter the match with a record of 1-2. Klawock won 29-25 in their recent league match against Hoonah (Hoonah, AK)
