New Mexico High School Basketball - Reserve nips Magdalena

Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM), 47-45 in a league bout.
With the win, Reserve upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Mountaineers host Animas (Animas, NM) to play the Panthers in a A District 2 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 13-7.
Next up, the Steers play the Quemado Eagles (Quemado, NM) in a A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Magdalena will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 44-37 league win over Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM).
