The West Mesquite Wranglers basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting North Mesquite Stallions to 38 in the Wranglers league victory on Saturday.
The Wranglers now sport a 18-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Adams for a 5A Region II District 12 contest on Tuesday, February 7. West Mesquite will battle a Cougars team coming off a 47-15 league win over Samuell (Dallas, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 3-18.
The Stallions (15-17) will now prepare for their contest against Spruce (Dallas, TX). The Timberwolves come into the 5A Region II District 12 contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, Spruce prevailed over Seagoville (Dallas, TX), 51-48, in a league contest.
