In Saturday's league outing, the Norwich Purple Tornado (Norwich, NY) basketball squad beat the visiting Oneonta Yellowjackets (Oneonta, NY), by a margin of 59-50.
The Purple Tornado (5-9) will now prepare for their outing against Susquehanna Valley (Conklin, NY). The Sabers go into the Section 4 Southern Tier - East outing with a 5-7 record.
The Yellowjackets now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Windsor Central for a Section 4 Southern Tier - East outing on Wednesday, February 8. Oneonta will clash with a Black Knights squad coming off a 41-36 non-league loss to Delaware Academy (Delhi, NY). The Black Knights record now stands at 1-10.
