California High School Basketball - Sacramento Country Day ripped by Valley Christian

The Valley Christian Lions basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Sacramento Country Day Cavaliers to 18 in the Lions league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 21-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faith Christian for a Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League contest on Tuesday, February 7. Valley Christian will meet a Lions team coming off a 98-22 league win over Cristo Rey (Sacramento, CA). The Lions record now stands at 19-5.

The Cavaliers (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Buckingham Charter (Vacaville, CA). The Knights enter the Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Buckingham Charter was routed by Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (Rocklin, CA), 31-19, in a league contest.
