Tennessee High School Basketball - Union City routs St. Benedict at Auburndale

In Saturday's non-league outing, the Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN) basketball squad overwhelmed the host St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles (Cordova, TN), by a margin of 65-44.
The Golden Tornadoes (7-14) will now prepare for their outing against Gibson County (Dyer, TN). The Pioneers go into the non-league outing with a 13-7 record. In their last outing, Gibson County was trounced by Westview (Martin, TN), 46-34, in a league outing.
The Eagles now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they host St. Agnes Academy for a Division II-AA West outing on Friday, February 10. St. Benedict at Auburndale will encounter a Stars squad coming off a 50-25 league win over St. Mary's Episcopal (Memphis, TN). The Stars record now stands at 9-10.
