The South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) ice hockey nipped the host Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI), 2-1 in Saturday's league battle.
The Rebels now hold a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ponaganset for a Division 2 battle on Friday, February 10. South Kingstown will play a Chieftains team coming off a 5-0 league win over North Smithfield (North Smithfield, RI). The Chieftains record now stands at 8-5.
The Oakers (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Falcons come into the Division 2 battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Cranston West was edged by South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI), 7-2, in a league battle.
