California High School Basketball - Albany nips Saint Mary's

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Albany Cougars basketball team scored a close 69-63 triumph over the Saint Mary's Panthers.
The Cougars (20-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bethel (Vallejo, CA). The Jaguars go into the Tri-County - Rock contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Bethel was tipped by Salesian College Preparatory (Richmond, CA), 79-30, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers meet the Freedom Falcons (Oakley, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, February 8. Saint Mary's will attempt to advance on its 17-8 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 9-15 record after their 66-56 league loss to Pittsburg (Pittsburg, CA).
