The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Bertha-Hewitt Bears (Bertha, MN) and the visiting Menahga Braves (Menahga, MN), observed Bertha-Hewitt's basketball team knock off Menahga by a score of 55-46.

The Bears (4-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Laporte (Laporte, MN). The Wildcats come into the A Section 5 challenge with a 3-17 record. In their last challenge, Laporte was knocked off by Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (Walker, MN), 81-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Braves encounter the New York Mills Eagles (New York Mills, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 7. Menahga will attempt to improve on its 1-19 season record.
