The Panthers (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Midland Trail (Hico, WV). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, Midland Trail prevailed over PikeView (Princeton, WV), 71-62, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Devils encounter the Gilmer County Titans (Glenville, WV) in a Little Kanawha - East challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Calhoun will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 68-56 league loss to Roane County (Spencer, WV).
