In Tuesday's league test, the Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM) basketball squad trounced the host Capitan Tigers (Capitan, NM), by a score of 71-47.
Next, the Bears encounter the Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM) in a 2A District 3 game, on Saturday, February 8. Cloudcroft will attempt to move on its 10-11 season record. The Chiefs go into the game with a 4-16 record after their 49-31 league loss to Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM).
With the loss, Capitan falls to 2-18 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM) to confront the Mavericks in a 2A District 3 game on Saturday, February 8. The Mavericks go into the game with a record of 8-13. Lordsburg lost 57-46 in their recent league game against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM)
