The Carrizozo Grizzlies (Carrizozo, NM) basketball edged the visiting Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM), 56-53 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Grizzlies now possess a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Mountainair for a A District 3 bout on Friday, February 7. Carrizozo will play a Mustangs team coming off a 75-28 league win over Corona/Vaughn (Corona, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-6.
With the loss, Hondo Valley falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Eagles host Corona/Vaughn (Corona, NM) to play the Cardinals in a A District 3 bout on Thursday, February 6. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 2-15. Corona/Vaughn lost 78-35 in their recent league bout against Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM)
