Arizona High School Basketball - Washington thwarts Copper Canyon

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Washington Rams (Phoenix, AZ) and the visiting Copper Canyon Aztecs (Glendale, AZ), observed Washington's basketball team knock off Copper Canyon by a score of 56-39.
The Rams (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Cortez (Phoenix, AZ). The Colts come into the non-league challenge with a 14-3 record. In their last challenge, Cortez prevailed over Desert Sunrise (Maricopa, AZ), 67-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Aztecs encounter the Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Copper Canyon will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Stampede come into the challenge with a 8-16 record after their 73-44 league loss to McClintock (Tempe, AZ).
