The Tascosa Rebels (Amarillo, TX) basketball edged the host Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX), 53-50 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Rebels now possess a 19-10 record. They play next when they travel to Plainview for a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, February 7. Tascosa will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-50 league loss to Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-14.

With the loss, Coronado falls to 11-18 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to play the Plainsmen in a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, February 7. The Plainsmen go into the bout with a record of 14-18. Monterey lost 72-68 in their recent league bout against Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX)
