New Mexico High School Basketball - Espanola Valley holds off Taos

The Espanola Valley Sundevils basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Taos Tigers to 57 in the Sundevils league triumph on Tuesday.
The Sundevils now possess a 18-4 record. They play next when they host Pojoaque Valley for a 4A District 2 game on Friday, February 7. Espanola Valley will confront a Elks/Elkettes team coming off a 61-49 league win over Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Elks/Elkettes record now stands at 15-7.
With the loss, Taos falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to confront the Pintos in a 4A District 2 game on Monday, February 10. The Pintos go into the game with a record of 7-13.
