In Tuesday's league test, the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) basketball squad defeated the host Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA), by a final score of 62-45.
Next, the Terriers clash with the Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league test, on Friday, February 7. William Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 12-9 record after their 51-50 league win over Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA).
The Eagles (4-14) will now prepare for their test against Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels come into the Blue Ridge test with a 12-8 record. In their last test, Fleming overcame Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 68-58, in a league test.
