The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) and the visiting Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA), observed Varina's basketball team overwhelm Hanover by a score of 79-33.

The Blue Devils (13-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Armstrong (Richmond, VA). The Wildcats come into the Capital challenge with a 4-13 record. In their last challenge, Armstrong was routed by Meridian (Falls Church, VA), 71-48, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Atlee Raiders (Mechanicsville, VA) in a Capital challenge, on Friday, February 7. Hanover will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 16-1 record after their 67-52 league win over Armstrong (Richmond, VA).
