The Humboldt Wildcats basketball team (Humboldt, IA), was edged 71-68 in Tuesday's league bout with the visiting St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA)
The Gaels now possess a 18-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pocahontas for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 6. St. Edmond will play a Indians team coming off a 60-46 non-league win over East Sac County (Lake View, IA). The Indians record now stands at 4-14.
With the loss, Humboldt falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA) to play the Cadets in a North Central bout on Friday, February 7. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Iowa Falls-Alden lost 79-76 in their recent non-league bout against Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA)
