The Lansing Lions (Lansing, KS) basketball edged the host Leavenworth PIONEERS (Leavenworth, KS), 75-73 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Lions now possess a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Shawnee Heights for a United Kansas bout on Friday, February 7. Lansing will play a Thunderbirds team coming off a 95-47 league win over Turner (Kansas City, KS). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 12-2.
With the loss, Leavenworth falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to De Soto (De Soto, KS) to play the Wildcats in a United Kansas bout on Friday, February 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-7. De Soto lost 57-54 in their recent league bout against Piper (Kansas City, KS)
