In Tuesday's league test, the Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK) basketball squad got by the visiting North Pole Patriots (North Pole, AK), by a score of 58-51.
Next, the Malemutes encounter the Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) in a non-league test, on Saturday, February 8. Lathrop will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the test with a 13-1 record after their 77-40 league win over Chugiak (Chugiak, AK).
The Patriots (2-15) will now prepare for their test against Monroe Catholic (Fairbanks, AK). The Rams come into the 4A Mid Alaska test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Monroe Catholic was nipped by West Valley (Fairbanks, AK), 54-43, in a league test.
