The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) and the visiting Maxwell Wildcats (Maxwell, NE), observed Perkins County's basketball team overwhelm Maxwell by a score of 84-34.
The Plainsmen (14-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Southwest (Bartley, NE). The Roughriders come into the non-league challenge with a 7-11 record. In their last challenge, Southwest was routed by Dundy County-Stratton (Benkelman, NE), 80-56, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 7. Maxwell will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 52-38 non-league win over Brady (Brady, NE).
