Tennessee High School Basketball - McMinn Central triumphant over Sweetwater

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the McMinn Central Chargers (Englewood, TN) and the visiting Sweetwater Wildcats (Sweetwater, TN), observed McMinn Central's basketball team overwhelm Sweetwater by a score of 65-38.

The Chargers (7-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Polk County (Benton, TN). The Wildcats come into the 2A District 3 challenge with a 11-9 record. In their last challenge, Polk County trounced Meigs County (Decatur, TN), 61-57, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Tellico Plains Bears (Tellico Plains, TN) in a 2A District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Sweetwater will attempt to improve on its 11-11 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 20-2 record after their 68-58 league win over Roane County (Kingston, TN).
