Wheatley Wildcats (Houston, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men Knights (Houston, TX), 71-47 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats (20-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Kashmere (Houston, TX). The Fighting Rams come into the 4A Region III District 20 challenge with a 7-16 record.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Worthing Colts (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men will attempt to improve on its 8-15 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 17-11 record after their 80-52 league win over Northside (Houston, TX).
