The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ovid-Elsie Marauders (Elsie, MI) and the host New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI), observed Ovid-Elsie's basketball team overwhelm New Lothrop by a score of 60-36.

The Marauders (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Birch Run (Birch Run, MI). The Panthers come into the Mid-Michigan challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Birch Run was routed by Byron (Byron, MI), 55-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Lakeville Falcons (Otisville, MI) in a Mid-Michigan challenge, on Friday, February 7. New Lothrop will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 81-46 league loss to Durand (Durand, MI).
