In Tuesday's league contest, the host Plains Cowboys basketball team scored a big 69-39 triumph over the Seagraves Eagles.

The Cowboys (25-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Eagles go into the 2A Region I District 5 contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Ropes smashed Smyer (Smyer, TX), 73-40, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 contest, on Friday, February 7. Seagraves will attempt to better on its 3-13 season record. The Roughnecks go into the contest with a 5-15 record after their 45-36 league loss to Whiteface (Whiteface, TX).
