Georgia High School Basketball - Sandy Creek thwarts Troup County

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) and the host Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA), observed Sandy Creek's basketball team knock off Troup County by a score of 83-65.
The Patriots (21-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA). The Bulldogs come into the AAA Region 2 challenge with a 7-17 record. In their last challenge, Mary Persons was knocked off by Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA), 70-64, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Spalding Jaguars (Griffin, GA) in a AAA Region 2 challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Troup County will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 9-13 record after their 76-56 league loss to LaGrange (LaGrange, GA).
