South Carolina High School Basketball - Spring Valley nips Westwood

In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Spring Valley Vikings basketball team scored a close 59-54 win over the Westwood Redhawks.
The Vikings (6-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Sumter (Sumter, SC). The Gamecocks come into the AAAAA Region 5 challenge with a 11-10 record. In their last challenge, Sumter edged West Florence (Florence, SC), 64-19, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Redhawks encounter the Lugoff-Elgin Demons (Lugoff, SC) in a AAAAA Region 5 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Westwood will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Demons come into the challenge with a 13-10 record after their 58-53 league loss to Ridge View (Columbia, SC).
