South Dakota High School Basketball - St. Thomas More nips Sturgis Brown

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting St. Thomas More Cavaliers basketball team scored a close 43-40 triumph over the Sturgis Brown Scoopers.
The Cavaliers (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Douglas (Box Elder, SD). The Patriots go into the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Douglas was tipped by Custer (Custer, SD), 68-21, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Scoopers battle the Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) in a AA contest, on Friday, February 7. Sturgis Brown will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Kernels come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 66-49 league win over Jefferson (Sioux Falls, SD).
