The Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) basketball were winner over the host Columbia Capitals (Columbia, SC), 44-24 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Griffins now possess a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Mid-Carolina for a AA Region 3 bout on Thursday, February 6. Fairfield Central will play a Rebels team coming off a 49-40 league loss to Eau Claire (Columbia, SC). The Rebels record now stands at 7-13.
With the loss, Columbia falls to 1-16 on the campaign. The Capitals host Chester (Chester, SC) to play the Cyclones in a AA Region 3 bout on Thursday, February 6. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Chester lost 59-21 in their recent league bout against Clinton (Clinton, SC)
