The Columbus Wildcats basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Pekin Panthers to 28 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now possess a 15-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mediapolis for a non-league game on Saturday, February 8. Columbus will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-48 non-league win over Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-1.

With the loss, Pekin falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to West Burlington (West Burlington, IA) to confront the Falcons in a non-league game on Thursday, February 6. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 5-13. West Burlington won 52-49 in their recent non-league game against Notre Dame (Burlington, IA)
