The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Coquille Red Devils (Coquille, OR) and the visiting South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR), observed Coquille's basketball team overwhelm South Umpqua by a score of 68-24.

The Red Devils (17-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Douglas (Winston, OR). The Trojans come into the 3A Far West challenge with a 2-18 record. In their last challenge, Douglas was routed by Siuslaw (Florence, OR), 39-29, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lancers encounter the Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR) in a 3A Far West challenge, on Friday, February 7. South Umpqua will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 45-18 league loss to Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR).
