The Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) basketball crushed the host Dawson Dragons (Welch, TX), 54-11 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 18-13 record. They play next when they host Anton for a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. Sands will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-24 league loss to Whitharral (Whitharral, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-9.
With the loss, Dawson falls to 5-19 on the campaign. The Dragons host Grady (Lenorah, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 1A Region I District 6 bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 12-15.
